Milton Veteran Creative Exchange – Empowering Generations through Art, is an intergenerational arts program that involved veterans, 55+ adults and preschoolers. Each week participants took part in an arts activity plus shared a snack break together.
The Milton Veteran Creative Exchange program is hosted by The FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 136. This project was made possible thanks to the funding received from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Senior Program (NHSP), a federal grants and contributions program that supports community-based projects designed by seniors for seniors.
The Spring, Summer, and Fall Milton Veteran Creative Exchange Sessions artwork will be featured in a gallery exhibition at the Holcim Gallery in the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton Nov. 4 – 30, 2024.
Join us as we celebrate the culmination of the project that has connected multiple generations through the power of the arts. |
